The Company:
RGB are currently supporting a civil engineering main contractor operating across the South West, delivering a range of infrastructure and civil engineering projects. Due to continued workload and an internal promotion within the team, they are now looking to strengthen their delivery capability in the Bristol region.
The Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Civils Site Agent who is ready to take the next step into a Project Manager's role. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of civil engineering projects across the Bristol area. You'll be stepping into an established role with strong support from an experienced Project Manager who has progressed through the business. Training, mentoring, and ongoing support will be provided to help you transition successfully into the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the delivery of civil engineering projects from pre-construction to completion
- Planning, programming, and coordinating site activities
- Managing Site Agents, Engineers, Supervisors, and subcontractors
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
- Liaising with clients, local authorities, and internal stakeholders
- Monitoring programme, cost control, and commercial performance
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Supporting project reporting and attending progress meetings
Candidate Requirements:
- Background in civil engineering, ideally highways and/or general civils
- Currently working as a Site Agent (or similar) or an early-stage Project Manager
- Strong understanding of site-based delivery and construction processes
- Ambitious and motivated, with a clear desire to progress
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities
- Full UK driving licence
