  • An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced

MEP Manager to join a major infrastructure programme, supporting the delivery of complex mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems across a large-scale construction environment.

This role will suit a technically strong MEP professional who enjoys working across the full project lifecycle, from design review and technical assurance through to installation, commissioning and handover.

You will act as the key technical authority, ensuring engineering excellence, compliance and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership across Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) disciplines.
  • Review designs, technical specifications, calculations and construction methodologies.
  • Support design assurance, technical approvals and compliance processes.
  • Ensure MEP systems meet relevant standards, regulations and project requirements.
  • Coordinate interfaces between MEP, civil, structural, architectural and specialist systems.
  • Resolve complex engineering and construction challenges.
  • Review subcontractor submissions, technical queries and design change requests.
  • Support installation, testing, commissioning and handover activities.
  • Carry out inspections, audits and quality reviews.
  • Identify technical risks, opportunities and value engineering initiatives.
  • Provide expert engineering advice to support programme delivery.
  • Collaborate with consultants, stakeholders, supply chain partners and client representatives.
  • Promote the highest standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or actively working towards professional accreditation.
  • Proven experience delivering MEP systems within major infrastructure, transportation, utilities, rail, energy or large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong technical understanding of building services and infrastructure MEP systems.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary interfaces and coordinating complex engineering activities.
  • Excellent knowledge of British Standards, Building Regulations and industry best practice.
  • Previous involvement in construction, testing, commissioning and project handover.
  • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Sound understanding of quality assurance, testing and commissioning processes.
