A well-established and highly regarded architectural consultancy is seeking a talented Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join their dynamic team in Bicester. Working across a diverse range of sectors, including healthcare, commercial, and residential, this role offers the opportunity to be involved in projects across multiple RIBA stages, allowing you to expand your expertise and develop your career within a supportive and collaborative environment. Although the practice works across a variety of project sectors, it would be preferred if you have experience and a genuine interest within the healthcare sector. Proficiency in Revit is a mandatory requirement.

The role:

  • Supporting the design team across all RIBA stages
  • Producing planning, technical and construction drawings
  • Assisting with concept development, feasibility studies and design proposals
  • Developing detailed design packages in line with building regulations and project briefs
  • Preparing drawing information for planning and building control submissions
  • Coordinating with consultants, contractors and external stakeholders
  • Attending project, client and site meetings as required
  • Assisting with site inspections and responding to on-site queries
  • Contributing to the preparation of specifications, schedules and reports
  • Maintaining and updating project documentation and drawing registers
  • Supporting compliance with statutory requirements and quality standards
  • Assisting in resolving technical and construction-related issues
  • Using BIM software (such as Revit) to develop coordinated models and drawings

The Ideal Candidate:

  • UK Based experience
  • Strong project experience across different RIBA stages
  • Excellent knowledge of UK building regulations
  • Proficiency in Revit is mandatory
  • A proactive and detail-oriented approach to design and project delivery
  • A genuine interest in the healthcare sector
  • Detailing and technical drawing competency
  • Experience from concept through to completion, including site coordination and liaison with planning authorities
  • Experience working on refurbishments and/or fit-outs
  • Exposure to RIBA stages 4-5
