We’re working with a forward-thinking consultancy who are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to strengthen their Bristol team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to step up into a more senior role, taking on greater responsibility for design delivery, mentoring, and client liaison.
The role:
- Leading the preparation of highway and drainage designs for S104, S38 and S278 applications
- Producing and checking technical outputs including drawings, reports and calculations
- Delivering drainage strategies, SuDS design and Flood Risk Assessments
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers, reviewing work and providing guidance
- Managing projects with moderate supervision, ensuring quality and timely delivery
- Liaising with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders
- Staying up to date with industry trends, standards and best practice
What we’re looking for:
- Around 5+ years’ UK consultancy experience in highways/drainage design
- Proficient in Civil 3D, Causeway Flow / MicroDrainage, AutoCAD
- Experience with approvals processes (S104, S106, S38, S278)
- Strong project management and client-facing skills
- Progressing towards, or already holding, Chartered status (ICE/CIHT)
- Collaborative, proactive and motivated to grow with the business
