About the Opportunity:

With continued growth across the Southwest and a strong pipeline of infrastructure and development projects, the business is seeking a commercially astute and operationally capable Regional Director to lead the next phase of growth from its Bristol office.
The Role:
As Regional Director, you will provide strategic, operational, and commercial leadership for the Civil Engineering division, while contributing to the broader success of the regional office. This is a high-profile position with significant influence across the business. Key responsibilities include:
- Taking overall responsibility for the Civil Engineering division, including operational performance, profitability, and team leadership.
- Leading and developing a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians and graduates.
- Driving the delivery of high-quality civil engineering and infrastructure projects across residential, commercial, industrial, and public sector developments.
- Managing key client relationships and acting as a senior ambassador for the business in the Southwest market.
- Supporting business development activities, identifying new opportunities, and helping to secure future workload.
- Contributing to the management and strategic direction of the wider Bristol office, working closely with other regional and service-line leaders.
- Overseeing financial performance, resource planning, risk management, and operational efficiency.
- Mentoring senior staff and helping to build a high-performing, collaborative culture.
What We’re Looking For:
- A strong track record in Civil Engineering and Infrastructure, ideally within a consultancy environment.
- Proven commercial and operational leadership experience, including responsibility for budgets, profitability, and team performance.
- Excellent client management and business development capabilities.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to contribute to the wider growth and direction of a multidisciplinary office.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience developing and mentoring senior engineering teams.
- Ideally, an established network within the civil engineering and infrastructure sector across the Southwest and wider UK market.
- Chartered status (CEng/MICE or equivalent) would be advantageous.
