Assistant HR Business Partner Midlands Contract role up to 6 months
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Assistant HR Business Partner to join our People team on a fixed-term basis. You'll provide high-quality HR support to operational teams, working closely with HR Business Partners to deliver people initiatives, manage employee relations, and support day-to-day HR processes. This is a hands-on role with exposure to change, projects and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide practical, compliant HR advice to managers
- Manage employee relations casework (disciplinary, grievance, absence)
- Support recruitment and core HR processes
- Use HR data to track trends and support reporting
- Build strong stakeholder relationships across the business
- Contribute to people initiatives, change activity and service improvements
About You
- Proven experience managing employee relations cases
- Strong HR knowledge and employment law
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder skills
- CIPD Level 5 (or working towards)
- Full UK driving licence
Appointment to the post will be subject to a satisfactory basic/enhanced check via the Disclosure and Barring Service.
