Mobile Electrician – Surrey & Merton Cover. My Client is a mechanical engineering company that has been in operation for over 50 years, providing mechanical engineering solutions to their diverse portfolio of clients. They seek 2 Maintenance Electricians to carry out service maintenance and repair predominantly to their contracts across Surrey and Merton.
Contracts include: Civic Buildings, Wimbledon Tennis Club, Libraries, Community Centres, Fire Stations, Schools, and Offices.
Your role will be to work on a van mobile basis across Merton & Surrey carrying out the following works:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults and breakdowns
- Installing, testing, and commissioning electrical equipment and systems
- Ensuring electrical systems comply with UK regulations (e.g. BS 7671 – IET Wiring Regulations)
- Responding to emergency call-outs and unplanned maintenance issues
Qualifications desired:
- NVQ Level 2 and 3 EAS / Electrotechnical discipline
- JIB Gold Card (AM2 or AM2E equivalency pass)
- Test and Inspect Qualification
- 18th Edition
- Minimum 5 years post qualification experience
- Live within a reasonable distance of Merton District / South London / Surrey East
Package on offer: £40-46k dependent on experience and qualifications held. 40 hour week Monday to Friday. Travel time paid after 30 minutes given each way. Fully expensed company van, fuel card, and expenses. Call out rota 1 in 7 weeks with a £200 retainer. Pension, 20 days holiday, and plenty of overtime available.
