My client are a leading multi-discipline building and engineering services provider who have been operating since the 1970’s.
London operations are based out of their Central London Office which now consists of around 20 staff.
Very exciting time to join the business. They currently turnover £60mil but are projecting £100mil Turnover in the next 2 years.
They specialise in Projects in a value range of £10mil – £20mil – but do go as high as £26mil.
Specialist Projects are all London based and refurbishments, in a variety of sectors which include: Healthcare, Hotels, Education, CAT A/B Office Fit Outs, Leisure, Residential and Public Sectors.
Due to a new Project starting (London based Healthcare Refurbishment), they are now seeking an additional Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their team of 5.
THE ROLE – Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor
Monday – Thursday – 8am – 5pm / Friday – 8am – 2pm
Duties will include:
- Preparation, submission and agreement of Interim Applications and Final Accounts.
- Submission and agreement of Variations, Dayworks etc. with the Main Contractor/Client.
- Sub-Contractor Interim Payments including site measure, Payment Notices, Pay Less Notices and Final Accounts.
- Liaising with Contract Managers in the procurement of Sub-Contract packages of work and preparation of Sub-Contract documents.
- Support in monitoring the progress of the Works.
- The preparation and issuing of contractual notices and/or correspondence to Clients, Dowds Suppliers and Sub-Contractors.
- Preparation of cash flows, monthly cost reports and analysis of budgets.
- Preparation of the monthly Commercial Reviews and presentation at the Project Review meetings.
- Review of contract documents.
Person Specification:
- An industry applicable ONC/HNC/BSc equivalent
- Healthcare and Commercial Project experience
- At least 8 years’ experience in the construction industry
- A good level of competency of Microsoft packages, particularly Excel
- Self-motivation, passion and a driven ‘can do’ attitude.
- Excellent communication
- A high level of diplomacy and customer focus
- The ability to anticipate problems and ensure early intervention.
- Ability to handle multiple clients, forms of contract and methods of measurement.
- Flexibility – ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to cope in high pressure situations
SALARY & PACKAGE
£70,000 – £80,000
Cover all Travel costs to Office (Daily) & Site
Yearly Bonus Schemes, which is based on Project & Company Performance
2pm finish on Fridays
