About the Company
Our client is a well-established, independent engineering consultancy with a strong presence across the North West. They specialise in delivering infrastructure and drainage solutions for residential and mixed-use developments, working closely with housebuilders, developers, and planning consultants. Their projects range from small bespoke developments through to large multi-phase residential schemes, with a strong focus on practical, buildable design.
The Role
They are looking to appoint a Senior Infrastructure / Drainage Engineer to support the delivery of a growing pipeline of development-led projects. This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of design work, manage projects, and contribute to client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Design of drainage and infrastructure for residential developments
- Preparation of: Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs), Drainage Strategies, Earthworks and levels design
- Liaison with statutory bodies (e.g. local authorities, water companies)
- Support planning applications and technical approvals (S104, S38, S278)
- Manage projects and coordinate with internal/external teams
- Mentor junior engineers
What They’re Looking For
- Strong experience in infrastructure/drainage design (consultancy background)
- Proficiency with MicroDrainage / InfoDrainage and AutoCAD/Civil 3D
- Experience working on residential development schemes
- Good understanding of UK standards and approval processes
- Ability to manage projects and communicate with clients
