A well-established Civil Engineering Contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team on a permanent basis in North Devon. With a strong order book of secured infrastructure and environmental improvement projects across the South West, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business that offers long-term career stability, a supportive management structure and the chance to lead schemes that make a real impact within local communities.

The Role

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple civil engineering projects from pre-construction through to completion. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing projects safely, on programme and within budget
  • Leading Site Agents, Engineers, Supervisors and subcontractors
  • Developing and maintaining project programmes
  • Managing client relationships and attending progress meetings
  • Overseeing quality assurance, ITPs and project documentation
  • Monitoring project performance, risks and opportunities
  • Working closely with commercial teams to ensure effective cost control
  • Coordinating design, temporary works and construction activities
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards
