Mobile HVAC Service Engineer – Midlands – £38,000–£43,000 + Package Location: Covering the Midlands region (Birmingham, Leicester, Derby, Nottingham and surrounding areas) Salary: £38,000 – £43,000 + van + bonuses + package Contract Type: Permanent | Full Time Start Date: ASAP I’m currently working in partnership with a highly reputable HVAC & Mechanical specialist who have been established for over 45 years, delivering exceptional service across MOD & MOJ sites. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to expand their engineering team with an experienced Mobile AC & HVAC Service Engineer to cover the Midlands region. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and well-respected business that offers job security, additional training, and long-term career progression. The Role: Carrying out planned and reactive service, maintenance, and breakdowns on a range of commercial HVAC and Air Conditioning systems Working across MOD and MOJ contracts, primarily covering the Midlands (Birmingham, Leicester, Derby, Nottingham, and surrounding areas) Occasional travel to additional sites across the wider region as needed Engaging with CAFM systems and providing accurate, up-to-date job reporting Participating in a call-out rota (approx. 1 in 6 weeks) Requirements: Fully conversant with the service and maintenance of commercial AC & HVAC systems Must hold valid F-Gas certification NVQ or City & Guilds in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (or equivalent) Additional electrical qualifications are advantageous Strong fault-finding and diagnostics skills Experience using tablet-based CAFM systems Clean DBS & Enhanced checks – must be comfortable working in secure environments (e.g., prisons) Salary & Package: £38,000 – £43,000 basic salary Company van & fuel card (private use allowed) 25 days holiday + bank holidays Paid travel time after 30 minutes each way Annual performance bonus Enhanced overtime rates + day in lieu for bank holidays PPE, phone, tablet, uniform, and tools provided Pension scheme (3% employer contribution) Death in service cover Enhanced sick pay Long-term development and training opportunities – including support for further certifications
