I am currently representing a fast-growing fire safety design consultancy, an independent provider of high-quality, client-focused solutions. In under a year, the team has doubled in size and the growth is set to continue. The company is made up of talented engineers, consultants, and support staff who are passionate about safety, innovation, and building something meaningful from the ground up.
This dynamic consultancy is now seeking a Fire Safety Engineer to join their team in Manchester. They offer a collaborative and flexible working environment, with a strong focus on development, training, and internal progression, while delivering high-quality fire safety solutions across a range of sectors. Salary Package:
- Basic salary: £40,000 – £55,000 (depending on experience)
- 9-day working fortnight (every other Friday off)
- 27 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)

Key Duties:
- Supporting the delivery of fire safety projects from initial concept through to completion
- Assisting with the preparation of fire strategies, technical reports, calculations, and supporting drawings
- Applying fire safety principles and building regulations to ensure compliance with relevant standards and guidance
- Working closely with senior engineers, directors, clients, and design teams to develop practical fire safety solutions
- Attending project meetings and contributing technical input where required
- Managing allocated tasks to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
What You Will Need:
- Previous experience in fire safety engineering or a closely related discipline
- A good understanding of fire safety regulations and their practical application
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A relevant university degree or equivalent qualification in fire safety engineering or a related field
