About the Role
They are seeking an experienced Steel Detailer to join their in-house drawing office. You will be responsible for producing accurate 2D drawings and 3D models to support the delivery of structural steel and temporary works projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce 3D models using Tekla
- Generate GA, fabrication, and erection drawings
- Prepare material lists, NC files, and schedules
- Interpret engineering and architectural drawings
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams
- Ensure compliance with BS/EN standards and client specifications
- Manage revisions and maintain document control
- Provide technical support to workshop and site teams
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Steel Detailer
- Strong knowledge of structural steelwork and fabrication
- Proficiency in Tekla (other detailing software considered)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Understanding of connections, detailing, and erection principles
- Familiarity with UK standards
Desirable
- Temporary works experience (e.g. propping, walers)
