Are you a Structural Engineer looking to develop your career within a growing, design-led consultancy? This is an opportunity to join a specialist civil and structural engineering practice delivering high-quality, technically robust solutions across a wide range of sectors including residential, commercial, education, healthcare, industrial, and modular construction.
You will be part of a collaborative team in a modern working environment, contributing to innovative structural design solutions while gaining exposure to both traditional and MMC / modular projects. You will play a key role in delivering structural designs, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting projects from concept through to construction, with clear progression toward Senior Engineer level and Chartership.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering structural design for a range of traditional and modular building projects
- Undertaking analysis and detailed design in line with Eurocodes and UK standards
- Preparing structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports
- Coordinating with architects, contractors, and clients to develop integrated solutions
- Supporting project delivery from feasibility through to construction stages
- Attending site visits, surveys, and design team meetings
- Assisting with project planning, programmes, and resource coordination
- Ensuring compliance with UK Building Regulations, CDM, and QA procedures
- Contributing to technical development and internal design standards
- Supporting junior engineers through knowledge sharing
Experience Required
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Minimum 2+ years' experience within a UK structural engineering consultancy
- Experience designing in common materials (steel, reinforced concrete, timber, masonry)
- Understanding of Eurocodes, UK standards, and Building Regulations
- Experience using structural analysis software such as TEDDS, Robot, ETABS, SCIA, or similar
- Exposure to modular / MMC systems (advantageous but not essential)
- Strong communication and technical reporting skills
- Working towards Chartership (IStructE or ICE)
