My client is a mechanical engineering company that has been in operation for over 50 years, providing mechanical engineering solutions to their diverse portfolio of clients.

THE ROLE

The role of the mechanical maintenance engineer primarily involves working across our university/college contracts, with some work across home counties expected to cover sickness/holidays if needed. Responsibilities include:

  • Looking after the planned and reactive maintenance of mechanical plant and heating/hot water systems (mainly in plant rooms).
  • Hot and cold water systems.
  • Pumps/Valves.
  • Calorifiers.
  • Mechanical plant room PPM's.

THE PACKAGE

  • £40/45K Basic.
  • 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
  • Working hours from 08:00 to 16:30 (30-minute lunch).
  • Travel in excess of 30 minutes at the start and end of the day and outside of core hours will be paid.
  • Call Out Rota 1 in 9 paid at x1.5 door to door with £200 per week standby fee paid.
  • SSP and SHP (28 days in total including bank holidays).
  • Overtime available.
  • Van and fuel card provided.
  • Uniform provided.
  • Tablet and phone (and full training) provided.
  • We provide all RAC equipment (including scales, gauges, vac pumps, hoses, pressure washers, and PPE).
  • Engineer provides own hand tools.
  • Auto enrolment pension.
