Currently working with a well‑established, employee‑owned engineering consultancy that is expanding its London Civil Infrastructure team following a number of major project wins.
They are recruiting a Highway Engineer with around 3+ years’ UK experience who is keen to broaden their technical expertise, work on high‑profile projects and progress toward a Senior Engineer role.
The Opportunity
You will become part of a collaborative team delivering a diverse portfolio of projects across London and the UK, including:
- Highway and junction improvement schemes.
- Active travel and public realm projects.
- Development infrastructure.
- Section 278 & Section 38 highway design.
- Drainage coordination and infrastructure design.
- Projects from feasibility through to detailed design and construction support.
- Close collaboration with local authorities, developers and multidisciplinary design teams.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands‑on technically while gaining exposure to larger, more complex projects alongside experienced Senior and Principal Engineers.
About You
You’ll ideally have
- Around 3+ years’ UK experience in highways or civil infrastructure design.
- Experience producing highway designs using Auto CAD, with Civil 3D experience advantageous.
- Knowledge of Section 278, Section 38, DMRB, Manual for Streets and UK highway design standards.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
- A desire to work toward ICE Chartership if not already progressing.
