Intermediate Electrical Engineer Location: London (Hybrid Working) Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per year The Opportunity We are looking for an ambitious Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join a dynamic and growing building services consultancy. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile projects across multiple sectors, including commercial, education, data centres, and specialist facilities. With a flexible hybrid working model, this role offers both professional development and the chance to contribute to complex, technically challenging projects. About You The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience in electrical engineering within a consultancy or contractor environment. You should have a good understanding of other building services disciplines, strong technical capability, and a willingness to take on client-facing responsibilities as you grow within the team. Responsibilities Assist in designing electrical building services systems from concept to detailed coordination. Apply sustainable design principles and technologies under guidance. Support commissioning processes and implementation of best practices. Contribute to on-site technical services, including contractor monitoring and quality assurance. Conduct site surveys and validation exercises. Work across a variety of sectors including commercial, fit-out, education, data centres, and residential projects. Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a consultancy or contracting environment. Familiarity with commercial and/or data centre projects is preferred. Competence in AutoCAD and exposure to 3D BIM modelling tools. Ability to produce technical reports, specifications, and electrical calculations. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
