I am currently representing an excellent building services company who are in need of a Semi Static HVAC & Refrigeration maintenance engineer to be operating across 3 campuses at the Queen Mary University in East London.

As a company, they are over 150 strong as a group with a mixture of engineers within different disciplines from heating, cooling, mechanical, electrical & General M&E maintenance.

Site cluster: All sites are within 1 square mile of each other within Mile End/Whitechapel in London.

In this role, you will be looking after a cluster of sites carrying out visual checks, maintenance, service and reactive works on:

  • VRV’s
  • VRF’s
  • Splits
  • Multi Splits
  • AHU’s
  • Chillers (if experienced with these)

Ideal Candidate:

  • Must be NVQ Level 2 Qualified in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration with FGAS 2709 Cat 1 certified as a minimum standard.
  • Minimum 5 years post qualification experience
  • Full Clean Driving License
  • Must pass an enhanced DBS background check
  • Air Conditioning bias with refrigeration skills
  • Proven Diagnostic and repair skills
  • Must be physically fit as the role is very active with work on rooftop equipment and working from step ladders
  • Live within a reasonable commute to Mile End / Stratford area

Desirable:

  • Chiller experience
  • PASMA Qualified
  • IPAF Qualified
  • ACRIB Qualified
  • Formal diagnostic or manufacturers training
  • 10 years post qualification experience

Package:

  • £40 to 50k Basic (depending on experience)
  • Van, fuel card, uniform, tablet, phone and training provided
  • Monday to Friday 40 hours per week with half hour lunch
  • Private use of van allowed
  • Overtime available
  • Call Out mandatory on 1 in 6 / 7 basis and with £200 per week retainer and paid x1.5 door to door
  • SSP 28 days holiday per annum
  • Specialist tools provided by client
  • Company Pension Scheme in place
  • 6-month probation
  • Pay weekly or monthly to suit
  • Immediate start / will wait for right candidate.
  • Long term secure position for right candidate with training and development opportunities
