A specialist consultancy delivering flood risk, drainage, transport planning and infrastructure design services across residential and commercial development projects is looking to appoint a Civil Engineer to support its expanding infrastructure and drainage team. This opportunity would suit an engineer with experience across highways, drainage and development infrastructure looking to work within a technically focused consultancy environment with strong project ownership and client exposure.

The Role

  • Support the delivery of drainage and infrastructure packages across a range of development projects, working closely with clients, planning teams and technical specialists throughout the design and approvals process.
  • Typical responsibilities include:
    • Drainage strategies and SuDS design
    • Flood risk and surface water management support
    • Highways and infrastructure coordination
    • S278 / S106 development infrastructure works
    • Supporting planning applications and technical approvals
    • Liaising with local authorities, clients and multidisciplinary teams
    • Preparation of technical drawings, calculations and reports

Requirements

  • 4+ years’ UK consultancy experience within civil/drainage engineering
  • Experience across drainage and development infrastructure schemes
  • Knowledge of SuDS, flood mitigation and highways infrastructure
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and drainage software
  • Strong stakeholder communication and coordination skills
  • Keen to progress within a growing consultancy environment
