A growing independent transport planning and engineering consultancy are looking to strengthen their team with the appointment of a Senior or Principal Transport Planner in Guildford. The business operates as a specialist transport and infrastructure consultancy delivering innovative, practical, and commercially focused solutions across a broad range of development and infrastructure projects. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, they are looking for an experienced Transport Planner capable of managing and delivering schemes with increasing responsibility while supporting the development of junior team members.
This is a hybrid role combining office collaboration with flexible remote working. The successful candidate will work across a varied portfolio of development-led transport planning projects, supporting both technical delivery and client management responsibilities.
Typical responsibilities will include:
- Delivery of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, and Travel Plans
- Access feasibility studies and junction design coordination
- Client and stakeholder liaison
- Preparation of technical reports and planning documentation
- Managing projects across multiple sectors and scales
- Supporting and mentoring junior staff
- Contributing toward bids, fee proposals, and business development
- Working closely with multidisciplinary design and engineering teams
