Salary: £60,000 – £63,000 per annum

Overview: We are seeking an experienced and proactive Gas/mechanical Maintenance Manager to join our team based in the east London office. This is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing the delivery of commercial gas maintenance services across a diverse client portfolio, ensuring safety, compliance, and performance standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the commercial gas and mechanical engineer team, including engineers and subcontractors.
  • Oversee planned and reactive maintenance across commercial sites, ensuring works are completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
  • Quote on small works mechanical projects up to 250k.
  • Ensure all gas works are compliant with current legislation and health & safety standards (Gas Safe, HSE).
  • Monitor performance KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Liaise with clients to ensure satisfaction, manage expectations, and provide technical support where necessary.
  • Manage budgets, procurement, and resource planning in line with commercial objectives.
  • Ensure effective reporting, documentation, and record-keeping for all maintenance activities.
  • Support with recruitment, training, and development of engineering staff.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar management role within commercial gas maintenance.
  • Recognised gas qualifications within domestic or commercial gas.
  • Strong knowledge of gas safety legislation, maintenance best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
