Technical Director – Highways & Infrastructure Competitive Salary: Up to £80,000 including car allowance (depending on experience). The Technical Director role in Manchester presents an exceptional opportunity for experienced professionals seeking a leadership position within a growing infrastructure team. This position is perfect for a motivated individual, either a seasoned Technical Director or an Associate Director ready to step up, who can lead and develop a busy Highways & Drainage team while contributing to the business’s strategic growth. Provide visible leadership, developing a clear strategy to drive profitable growth within the team, which delivers projects across highways and infrastructure sectors. – Project Delivery : Oversee the successful delivery of a wide range of public and private sector projects, including regeneration schemes, National Highways projects, local authority frameworks, and private developments. This will involve managing technical teams and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard. – Client Management & Business Development : You will be responsible for generating new leads, building relationships, formulating tenders, and winning new work. – Act as the technical discipline lead for larger, more complex projects. – Stakeholder Engagement : Act as the primary point of contact for clients, local authorities, statutory bodies, and external design teams. Mentorship : Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering professional development and ensuring a collaborative, high-performing team environment. – Assist in the day-to-day management of the office, ensuring the department’s performance aligns with the company\’s strategic objectives.
