My client is an electrical contractors’ firm based in Eastbourne and Hove. Established for over 45 years, they offer a range of electrical services to key client groups including local authorities, schools/academies, commercial clients, and individuals across Sussex and Kent. They currently employ over 65 staff in a friendly and supportive environment where staff thrive and feel valued.
THE ROLE - ELECTRICIAN
This role is part of our Contracts works team supporting a Social Homes contract with Worthing Homes. Approximately 80% of duties involve EICR testing within flats and houses, with the remainder focusing on reactive and small remedial works. The post holder will ensure onsite works meet technical and regulatory standards, adhere to company policies, and liaise professionally with clients, maintaining high customer care standards. This role includes participation in our call-out rota with retainer pay as per our terms, and a company vehicle is provided. An Enhanced DBS check is required due to the nature of client groups and sites.
REQUIREMENTS
- Fully qualified electrician with:
- BS7671:2018
- Level 1-3 Technical Certificate in Electrical Installation or equivalent
- Vocational NVQ LV3 in electrical industry
- National Electrotechnical Training (NET) AM2 certificate
- Inspection & Testing qualification (BS2391, BS2394, BS2395 or equivalent)
- ECS Electrician (Gold card) - Desirable
- Full clean UK driver’s license
EXPERIENCE
- At least 5 years onsite experience in servicing, maintenance, fault finding, and small installations in industrial settings
- Testing experience with ability to complete test certificates to standard
- Knowledge and application of Health & Safety regulations
- Proficient in IT
SALARY & PACKAGE
- £39,000
- 22 days holiday plus bank holidays
