My Client is a mechanical engineering firm that has been in operation for over 50 years, providing mechanical engineering solutions to a diverse portfolio of clients. They are seeking a Maintenance Electrician to carry out services maintenance and repair, predominantly for their contracts across Surrey and Merton. Contracts include civic buildings, Wimbledon Tennis Club, libraries, community centres, fire stations, schools and offices.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults and breakdowns
- Installing, testing, and commissioning electrical equipment and systems
- Ensuring electrical systems comply with UK regulations (e.g., BS 7671 – IET Wiring Regulations)
- Responding to emergency call-outs and unplanned maintenance issues
Qualifications Preferred
- NVQ Level 2 and 3 EAS / Electrotechnical discipline
- JIB Gold Card (AM2 or AM2E equivalency pass)
- Test and Inspect Qualification – 18th Edition
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience
- Live within a reasonable distance of Merton District / South London / Surrey East
Package and Benefits
- £40,000 – £48,000 dependant on experience and qualifications held

- 40-hour week, Monday to Friday
