About the Company

We are recruiting for a well-established Heating contractor that has been operating across Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas.

With a team of 10 engineers and continued growth across both domestic and commercial sectors, the business has built an excellent reputation for quality workmanship and customer service.

Due to continued growth and increasing demand, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Air Conditioning Working Supervisor / Lead Engineer to help establish and grow a brand-new Air Conditioning division.

The Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced AC Engineer who is looking to take the next step in their career and play a key role in building a division from the ground up.

The business has already invested in training, with three existing engineers obtaining their FGAS qualifications, and now requires an experienced industry professional to provide technical leadership, mentor engineers and help drive the growth of the air conditioning offering.

Initially, the role will be hands-on and focused primarily on domestic split-system installations, servicing and maintenance.

As the division develops, the successful candidate will help expand services into the company's established commercial client base and play a pivotal role in recruiting and developing future AC engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of the company's Air Conditioning division.
  • Carry out installation, service and maintenance work on AC systems.
  • Undertake predominantly domestic split-system installations in the early stages.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to existing FGAS-qualified engineers.
  • Support business growth by helping expand AC services within existing commercial accounts.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Assist with project planning, quotations and technical surveys where required.
  • Help shape future processes, standards and team growth.
  • Candidate Requirements
  • Proven experience working within the Air Conditioning industry.
  • FGAS qualified.
  • Strong installation, service and maintenance background.
  • Experience with split systems and domestic AC installations.
  • Ability to work independently and lead by example.
  • Commercial AC experience would be highly advantageous.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Ambitious individual looking to progress into a management role as the division grows.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
