We are a nationwide Building Structures Engineering consultancy that has recently established a London office and are now seeking a Principal/Associate-level Structural Engineer to join our team. Responsibilities
- Act as the lead consultant on projects, providing C&S representation and input at key stages, and ensuring that C&S requirements are communicated and delivered across the business and your team.
- Develop structural/civil engineering designs for projects through various stages autonomously, and develop engineering concepts to communicate to clients, architects and staff in meetings.
- Apply analysis techniques for the preparation of calculations for all structural elements, and manage the preparation of such calculations by junior staff.
- Break down complex structures into individual components to enable element design and communicate this to colleagues.
- Represent the company at both internal and external meetings.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong desire to build on existing civil and structural engineering experience and mentor junior staff.
- Experience developing Structural/Civil Engineering designs through project stages autonomously.
- Comfortable communicating engineering concepts to clients, architects, and staff.
- Excellent analytical skills for structural calculations and the ability to manage junior staff preparation.
