We are supporting a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy in London that is looking to grow its Transport Planning team with an Assistant Transport Planner (2-4 years' experience). The team delivers a wide range of development planning, transport assessments and mobility projects across residential, commercial, education, mixed-use and regeneration schemes.
The Role
- Support senior colleagues in delivering:
- Transport Assessments and Transport Statements
- Travel Plans and Active Travel strategies
- Junction capacity modelling (Junctions 9/10, LinSig)
- Trip generation analysis and transport survey interpretation
- Development access appraisals and swept path analysis
- Inputs into feasibility studies, planning applications, and design teams
- Technical reports, analysis, and stakeholder coordination
- GIS mapping, data analysis and multi-modal assessments
What You'll Bring
- 2-4 years' experience in transport planning / development planning
- Strong report-writing and data analysis skills
- Experience with software such as: Junctions 9/10, LinSig, AutoCAD, TRICS, TEMPro GIS or modelling tools beneficial
- Understanding of planning policy, development process, and technical assessments
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment
- Degree in Transport, Geography, Civil Engineering, Planning or related field
