RGB are representing a fast-growing building services engineering consultancy entering its next phase of expansion. Since launching in 2020, the company has seen rapid growth across its Design, Energy & Sustainability, and Commissioning Management teams and is now developing its operations division, with a focus on Validations.

This is a pivotal moment to get involved, working alongside senior leaders who have a track record of building high-performing technical teams. We're seeking a technically strong, motivated engineer ready to take ownership, shape a growing division, and play a key role in the company’s continued success.

Salary package: £50,000 - £65,000 – Plus performance bonus

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of validation activities, including permits, access logistics, and RAMS, ensuring all documentation is in place and aligned with project requirements.
  • Carry out thorough inspections of Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health systems, identifying issues, assessing performance, and documenting findings with detailed commentary and supporting photos.
  • Work collaboratively within the team, effectively sharing responsibilities and providing guidance to junior engineers and subcontractors.
  • Manage third-party vendors during site activities, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and schedule expectations. Act as a professional representative in client meetings and on-site engagements.
  • Produce accurate, well-structured validation reports using Microsoft Office tools. Track progress, record actions, and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Monitor project timelines, identify risks or delays, and support the alignment of validation tasks with broader programme milestones.
  • Feed validation outcomes into the design process by identifying required system upgrades or replacements. Support commissioning phases during project redevelopment or fit-out works.

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of BMS platforms (e.g. Trend, Siemens, Schneider, Honeywell)
  • Proven track record in system validation, commissioning, or technical surveying

  • Willingness to travel
