This building structures focused consultancy based in central Manchester close to a mainline station are currently seeking to recruit a structural engineer on a permanent basis. You will be joining an established design team with a broad range of clients and projects ranging from medical to public buildings to commercial and mixed use. They are a friendly, welcoming team with a family friendly culture and flexible working allowing for both home and office working.
The role will involve you designing on building structures projects, contributing to the design process as well as attending design meetings (both on site and remotely) and liaising with the clients and the architects. You will be a proactive individual with a good understanding of how buildings go together and how projects are brought together and your role in these processes.
You do not need to be chartered for this role as you will be working closely with the supportive management team. However, you will need to be a proactive self-starter who enjoys a challenge and is focused on a good engineering product.
