Role: Infrastructure Lead
The consultancy is seeking a highly experienced Infrastructure Lead to head up and expand the infrastructure discipline. This is a key strategic position with a clear route towards Board‐level Directorship for the right individual. You will lead a team delivering highway and drainage design, development‐led engineering solutions, active‐travel schemes and early‐stage technical input across a wide range of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of around 10 engineers and technicians
- Grow and develop the infrastructure division, including recruitment and resourcing
- Report directly to the Board, contributing to strategic growth and operational planning
- Provide hands‐on input to highways design, drainage strategy, SuDS and development infrastructure
- Oversee technical reports, feasibility studies, detailed design packages and engineering deliverables
- Develop strong relationships with clients, local authorities, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams
- Support business development and work winning where suitable (not essential)
About You
- Approximately 20+ years' experience in highways, drainage and infrastructure engineering
- Previous experience in a similar leadership or discipline‐lead role
- Strong technical background and able to remain hands‐on with daily project delivery
- Skilled in team leadership, resource management and technical oversight
- Comfortable reporting at senior/board level
- Work winning experience beneficial but not required
