The Opportunity
The company is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with at least 3 to 4 years of experience in building services consultancy. This role offers the chance to join a supportive and technically strong team with direct input from highly experienced Chartered engineers and senior leadership. You will work on a diverse range of projects with opportunities to expand your skills and responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design mechanical building services systems including HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation and public health
- Produce technical drawings, specifications and engineering calculations
- Work with common industry design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, IES or similar tools
- Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors and internal engineering teams
- Attend site surveys, inspections and project meetings
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, legislation and industry best practice
- Contribute to project delivery from early concept stages to completion

About You
- Minimum 3 to 4 years experience in mechanical building services design
- Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
- Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, IES or similar packages
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations and design standards
- Good communication skills and a proactive, organised approach
- Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
- Keen to develop professionally and take on increasing responsibility
