About R/GA
In our 40-year history, we’ve changed a lot—from a culture-defining film title studio to an interactive advertising agency; to an award-winning product and marketing agency with design, technology, communications, ventures and IP practices. We like change, and like to navigate our clients through it too.
Our approach to work is always human first. This unwavering focus helps us create meaningful and memorable experiences that live across digital platforms and often blur the line between the digital and real worlds. We believe disruptive thinking happens when you combine expertise in design, technology and culture.
About the Role
You will ensure the user’s voice is always at the center, from early strategic thinking through the design of the experience. You will uncover what people need, want, and feel, then translate those insights into strategies that guide meaningful, intuitive experiences.
You will lead teams and clients through complex problem spaces by setting strategic direction, guiding research and insight development, and collaborating closely with design, technology, and creative partners. You’ll shape experiences that make products more useful, brands more human, and innovation more meaningful.
About You
You are a strategic leader who thrives in ambiguity and complexity, bringing clarity to evolving client challenges and guiding teams toward focused, human-centered solutions. You are adept at partnering with senior stakeholders to shape experience strategy that connects user needs, business goals, and technology in meaningful ways.
You bring a strong point of view on experience design and innovation, continuously identifying opportunities to elevate R/GA’s experience strategy offering and expand our impact across clients, platforms, and industries. Through your leadership, you help define how experience strategy shows up in our work—setting the bar for craft, rigor, and relevance.
On any given day, you might:
- Work closely with client stakeholders to distill business objectives into clear product/experience goals, success metrics, and measurable outcomes.
- Provide perspective on product, technology, and market trends to help clients make informed decisions about where the opportunity lies.
- Define and champion the experience vision for an app, website, or agentic commerce POC, aligning client business goals, user needs, and technical realities.
- Actively identify and leverage emerging technologies, particularly AI, to create smarter, more adaptive experience solutions.
- Set the strategic vision for research initiatives, defining learning agendas that uncover deep human, business, and market insights across complex client challenges.
- Synthesize qualitative and quantitative research into sharp, provocative insights that reframe problems, unlock opportunities, and guide experience strategy at an enterprise level.
- Lead/facilitate high-stakes ideation and strategy sessions with senior clients and cross-functional teams to translate insights into clear, actionable direction.
- Own and shape high-impact strategic deliverables, including experience visions, value propositions, product and service strategies, opportunity frameworks, and roadmaps.
- Partner closely with XDs, content professionals, and technologists to evolve hypotheses into scalable products, platforms, and services that drive measurable impact.
- Grow and steward Experience Strategy at R/GA by setting standards, evolving frameworks, mentoring strategists, and contributing to thought leadership and training.
The ideal person:
- Communicates complex ideas with clarity, confidence, and influence through exceptional storytelling and executive-level presentation skills.
- Brings a strong point of view, intellectual curiosity, and creative rigor to shaping experiences that are meaningful for people and valuable for businesses.
- Builds deep, trusted relationships with senior clients and internal leaders, acting as a strategic partner and advisor.
- Leads teams with empathy and authority, balancing vision with execution while managing multiple clients, workstreams, and priorities.
- Thrives in ambiguity, guiding teams through complex problem spaces with structure, momentum, and optimism.
- Is intensely curious about AI technologies and how they can be harnessed to improve our internal workflow and, most importantly, create adaptive experiences.
You bring:
- 10+ years of experience in experience or product strategy within creative, design, innovation, or digital product environments.
- Proven expertise designing and leading user research, synthesizing insights, and translating human needs into experience and product strategies that connect seamlessly to design and technology.
- A proven track record of leading teams to deliver and launch successful digital products, platforms, or services.
- Experience working across different markets, like the UK, Middle East, and the US.
