RG SETSQUARE IS CURRENTLY WORKING WITH A SOCIAL HOUSING CONTRACTOR SEEKING AN EXPERIENCED CARPENTER MULTI.

Location: Warwick

Salary: £34K per annum with option for call out

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm

Benefits:

  • 23 days + Bank holidays

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Carpentry Work: Carry out a wide range of carpentry tasks, including 1st and 2nd fix work, door hanging, skirting, and architraves, as well as other joinery tasks.
  • Social Housing Repairs & Maintenance: Work in occupied and void properties, repairing and maintaining elements of social housing, such as kitchens, bathrooms, windows and doors.
  • Property Refurbishments: Undertake refurbishment work across various housing units, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
  • Customer Service: Communicate effectively with tenants and the public, ensuring that work is completed on time and to the highest standard, with minimal disruption.
  • Health & Safety: Follow all company health and safety guidelines, ensuring safe working practices at all times.
  • Maintenance & Minor Upgrades: Assist with general maintenance and minor upgrades of properties, including carpentry, flooring and other home improvements.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other tradespeople (plumbers, electricians, etc.) and assist in multi‑trade tasks as needed.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Carpenter: Relevant Carpentry qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ) and experience in 1st & 2nd fix carpentry.
  • Proven Experience: Previous experience working within the social housing or property maintenance sector is preferred.
  • Full UK Driving License: Must have a valid driving licence and be able to drive the company van (provided).
  • Multi‑Skilled: Ability to carry out other minor trades or assist with other trade tasks when needed (plumbing, plastering, etc.).
  • Customer‑Focused: Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with tenants and clients.
  • Self‑Motivated: Able to work independently or as part of a team to complete work on schedule.
  • Health & Safety Awareness: Full knowledge and commitment to adhering to health and safety regulations.
