Based in Surrey, my client has been awarded the contract to maintain Surrey Highways for the next 20 years plus. They are seeking experienced and qualified Traffic Management Operatives to deliver the contract. These roles include benefits such as holiday pay, pension, sick pay, and death in service. This is a great opportunity for experienced Traffic Management Operatives to develop their careers.
Working in Surrey, this role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and functionality of our highways and roadways. The ideal candidate will have experience working as a traffic management operative. The successful candidate will have a full UK manual driving license as well as relevant industry qualifications such as Lantra NHSS 12AB or NHSS 12D M1 & 2, M5, M6 or TTMBC. NRSWA Street works qualification is also desirable.
As a Traffic Management Operative, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and removing temporary traffic management on roads in/around the community. You will be tasked with delivering small to medium size projects.
Duties include:
- Distributing cones, signs, frames, and sandbags where needed
- Participate in planned and emergency road closures
- Carry out supervision and control of contractors working on the network
Hours are 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday - Friday and there are opportunities for overtime. This is a great opportunity to join a growing team and progress your career.
