Job Description: RG Set Square are currently looking for an Electrician's Mate/Electrical Improver to join a growing team of M&E specialists working on commercial projects. The ideal candidate will assist qualified electricians in carrying out electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the electrical trade while working in a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist electricians with electrical installations, testing, and maintenance.
- Help with running cables and installing electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings.
- Ensure that all work meets industry regulations and safety standards.
- Prepare work areas and ensure all materials and tools are ready for use.
- Assist with the completion of paperwork and documentation as required.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Adhere to health and safety policies on site.
Qualifications required:
- Previous experience as an Electrician's Mate or in a similar electrical assistant role is preferred but not essential.
- An understanding of basic electrical systems and components.
- Must hold or be working towards an electrical qualification (e.g., City & Guilds 2365 or equivalent).
- A valid ECS or CSCS card (or the ability to obtain one quickly).
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
