A leading construction and facilities management contractor is seeking an experienced Fire Door Carpenter to join its growing compliance and maintenance team. Working on a key hospitality-sector contract, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and certifying fire doors to ensure compliance with current legislation and building regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Carry out fire door maintenance, repairs and remedial works in accordance with current fire safety legislation.
- Inspect existing fire doors and identify any required remedial actions.
- Prepare quotations detailing labour requirements and materials needed for each job.
- Liaise directly with clients, answering technical queries and explaining fire door compliance requirements.
- Certify completed works and provide all relevant compliance documentation.
- Maintain accurate records, job notes and photographic evidence using company systems.
- Upload reports and supporting documents to ensure a clear audit trail.
- Assist Account Managers and the Billing Team with job-related queries to support efficient invoicing.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or equivalent.
- Proven experience in carpentry, maintenance and repair work.

- Experience undertaking fire door inspections and remedial repairs.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to produce accurate reports, notes and documentation.
- Competent using tablets, mobile devices and job management systems.
- Practical problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
