Our client, a tier 1 Main Contractor, has won a significant civil engineering project in South Devon and is now looking for an experienced Project Manager. The ideal candidate will be contractually astute, having completed at least one coastal scheme previously.
This is a double tide contract, so the PM will sit on site day shift to liaise with the client and ensure smooth running and coordination of barges, rock drops, etc., in line with MMO to supply onshore subcontractor, plus some smaller civils elements to complete involving piling, concrete, and some insitu stairs.
The role involves management and coordination of multiple stakeholders. This is a high-profile site with lots of public interface and media interest. Other duties include short and medium term planning, overseeing quality control, etc., to ensure the productive, efficient, and safe progress of site activities and quality.
The selected PM will be from an engineering background, have a relevant civil engineering qualification, and must have worked on coastal or tidal works previously. This is the chance to work with a very well-respected tier 1 contractor where there is a realistic prospect of ongoing work continuity if desired.
The suitable candidate can start immediately or the contractor can make allowances for any notice period required. Works will run until Christmas with a high likelihood of further works beyond that.
