We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee the commercial management of major MEP packages on a landmark £200m high-rise student accommodation development in Leeds city centre. This is a predominantly site-based role, managing multi-million-pound Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing installations from procurement through to final account.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage cost control, CVRs, valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Prepare cost plans, estimates, BoQs, and tender documentation
- Procure and manage MEP subcontractors and suppliers
- Negotiate subcontract agreements and monitor commercial performance
- Work closely with project, operational, and design teams to ensure successful delivery
Requirements
- Proven Senior QS experience within construction or MEP projects
- Strong commercial management and cost control background
- Experience on large-scale residential, student accommodation, or high-rise developments
- Excellent procurement, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
