A leading UK civil engineering and infrastructure contractor is looking for an experienced Sub-Agent to join a major programme of substation and associated civil engineering works across Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity to work on major infrastructure projects involving earthworks, concrete, drainage, access roads, foundations and associated substation civils.
The Role
- Support the Site Agent and wider project team in the safe and efficient delivery of civil engineering works on site.
- Support the Site Agent with day-to-day site operations.
- Supervise site teams, engineers and subcontractors.
- Plan and coordinate construction activities.
- Monitor progress, quality and productivity.
- Ensure works are delivered safely and in accordance with RAMS.
- Manage subcontractor activities and site interfaces.
- Work closely with engineering, commercial, planning and HSEQ teams.
- Ensure works are delivered in accordance with design and specification.
- Assist with progress reporting and project documentation.
- Support the Site Agent with the successful delivery of the project.
About You
They are looking for an experienced Sub-Agent, Site Agent or Senior Engineer with a strong civil engineering background. Ideally, you will have:
- Experience working on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Experience supervising site teams and subcontractors.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and project delivery.
- A good understanding of health, safety and quality requirements.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Relevant engineering or construction qualifications.
- A willingness and ability to work across Scotland as project requirements dictate.
Experience within energy, utilities, power, substations or other major infrastructure projects would be highly advantageous, although candidates from other major civils backgrounds will also be considered.
