A leading UK civil engineering and infrastructure contractor is looking for an experienced Senior Site Agent to join a major programme of substation and associated civil engineering works across Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term infrastructure programme involving significant earthworks, concrete, drainage, access roads, foundations and associated substation civils.
The Role
As Senior Site Agent, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of civil engineering works on site, working closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing day-to-day site operations and construction activities.
- Leading site teams, engineers and subcontractors.
- Planning and coordinating works to meet programme targets.
- Monitoring progress, quality and productivity.
- Reviewing RAMS and ensuring works are delivered safely.
- Managing subcontractors and site interfaces.
- Working closely with commercial, engineering, planning and HSEQ teams.
- Ensuring works are delivered in line with design and specification.
- Providing regular progress updates to the Project Manager.
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Site Agent / Senior Site Agent with a strong civil engineering background. Ideally, you will have:
- Experience delivering major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Experience managing subcontractors and site teams.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and project delivery.
- A good understanding of health, safety and quality requirements.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Relevant engineering or construction qualifications.
- A willingness and ability to work across Scotland as project requirements dictate.
Experience within energy, utilities, power, substations or other major infrastructure projects would be highly advantageous, although candidates from other major civils backgrounds will also be considered.
