Our client is currently seeking an experienced Painter & Decorator to join their growing team, carrying out works across a portfolio of social housing and commercial properties throughout Berkshire and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for a permanent position with a competitive salary, bonus scheme, and fuel allowance.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality internal and external painting and decorating works across a variety of occupied and vacant properties. The role requires a strong eye for detail, excellent workmanship, and the ability to work professionally in customer-facing environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out internal and external painting and decorating works.
  • Prepare surfaces including sanding, filling, stripping, and making good.
  • Complete works within social housing properties and commercial buildings.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Liaise professionally with tenants, customers, and site teams.
  • Accurately record completed works and materials used.
  • Adhere to all health and safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator.
  • Experience working within social housing, maintenance, refurbishment, or commercial environments.
  • Strong preparation and finishing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Must be able to successfully pass an Enhanced DBS check.
  • Relevant qualifications are advantageous but not essential where suitable experience can be demonstrated.
