Our client is currently seeking an experienced Painter & Decorator to join their growing team, carrying out works across a portfolio of social housing and commercial properties throughout Berkshire and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for a permanent position with a competitive salary, bonus scheme, and fuel allowance.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality internal and external painting and decorating works across a variety of occupied and vacant properties. The role requires a strong eye for detail, excellent workmanship, and the ability to work professionally in customer-facing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out internal and external painting and decorating works.
- Prepare surfaces including sanding, filling, stripping, and making good.
- Complete works within social housing properties and commercial buildings.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Liaise professionally with tenants, customers, and site teams.
- Accurately record completed works and materials used.
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator.
- Experience working within social housing, maintenance, refurbishment, or commercial environments.
- Strong preparation and finishing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Must be able to successfully pass an Enhanced DBS check.
- Relevant qualifications are advantageous but not essential where suitable experience can be demonstrated.
