Assistant Site Manager - New-Build Housing Location: Plymstock, Devon Start Date: Immediate / Tomorrow Contract: Ongoing Sector: New-Build Housing RG Setsquare are currently recruiting for an Assistant Site Manager to join a new-build housing project in Plymstock, with an immediate start available. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join an established contractor and play a key role in the day-to-day delivery of a residential construction project. Key Responsibilities Assist the Site Manager with the day-to-day management of the site. Supervise subcontractors and site operatives, ensuring works are completed safely, on time and to the required standards. Monitor progress against the construction programme and report any issues or delays. Carry out regular site inspections and ensure health & safety requirements are maintained. Coordinate trades and subcontractors on site. Check workmanship against drawings, specifications and quality standards. Assist with site inductions, toolbox talks and site documentation. Monitor materials, deliveries and site logistics. Liaise with the Site Manager, subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders. Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised site. Support with snagging, quality control and handover activities. Requirements SMSTS or SSSTS First Aid Previous experience working as an Assistant Site Manager. Experience within new-build residential/housing projects is preferred. Strong understanding of site health & safety, quality and programme requirements. Good communication and organisational skills.
