We're looking for an experienced Reliability Engineer with a strong HVAC and Building Management Systems (BMS) background to join a leading Facilities Management provider supporting a highly regulated research and technical environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in maintaining critical environmental conditions that support specialist operations, ensuring mechanical and electrical building services perform safely, efficiently, and reliably.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Monitoring and maintaining critical environmental conditions, including temperature, humidity, pressure and air change rates.
- Using Building Management Systems (BMS) to monitor performance, identify faults and support rapid issue resolution.
- Working alongside maintenance teams to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and develop effective solutions.
- Analysing asset performance to improve reliability, efficiency and long-term maintenance strategies.
- Supporting root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions to minimise future failures.
- Assisting with planned maintenance, system upgrades and asset replacement projects.
- Reviewing new installations and carrying out engineering calculations where required.
- Producing technical reports and maintaining accurate engineering documentation.
- Coordinating contractors and supporting project delivery across site.
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with Health & Safety regulations and site procedures.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong HVAC engineering experience within Building Services or Facilities Management.
- Proven experience working with Building Management Systems (BMS) and environmental controls.
- Multi-skilled engineering background with strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- At least 2 years' experience in a Reliability Engineer or similar technical engineering role.
- Excellent understanding of planned maintenance, asset reliability and fault-finding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- BSc/BEng in an Engineering discipline is desirable.
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience within research, laboratory, pharmaceutical, healthcare or other highly regulated environments.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and asset performance monitoring.
- Experience supporting engineering projects and contractor management.
