Role Overview:
As a Multi-Trade / Multi-Skilled Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of maintenance and repair works across tenanted and void properties. While general multi-trade skills are required, particular emphasis is placed on drainage-related experience. The ideal candidate will be reliable, customer-focused, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks including:
Drainage and unblocking
Basic plumbing repairs
Minor carpentry, plastering, tiling, or decorating works
Diagnose and resolve problems efficiently in line with health and safety guidelines
Complete work to a high standard in accordance with schedule and client requirements
Communicate clearly and professionally with tenants and team members
Accurately complete job records, time sheets, and material usage logs
Maintain company vehicle and tools to a professional standard
Essential Requirements:
Proven experience as a Multi-Trade Operative with a specialism in drainage
Strong general maintenance skills across multiple trades
Full UK driving licence - van provided
Relevant qualifications or certifications in trades such as plumbing, drainage, or construction
Experience working in social housing or a similar customer-facing environment
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Desirable Qualifications:
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing, Drainage, or a related trade
CSCS Card
Confined Space Training or Drainage Safety Certification (preferred but not essential)
Basic DBS check (or willingness to undertake one)
