Job Title: Mechanical Contracts Manager\\nLocation: Plymouth or Exeter (primary base)\\nSector: MEP / Building Services\\nContract Type: Permanent, Full-Time\\n\\nRole Overview\\n\\nWe are seeking an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to take commercial and contractual responsibility for the delivery of large-scale MEP installation projects. Based primarily in Plymouth or Exeter, the successful candidate will manage mechanical packages from pre-construction through to final account, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in line with contractual requirements.\\n\\nThis role would suit a commercially astute professional with a strong background in mechanical building services and major project delivery.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities\\n\\n * Manage mechanical contracts across large, complex MEP installation projects\\n\\n * Oversee contractual, commercial, and financial performance of projects\\n\\n * Lead contract administration, variations, valuations, and final accounts\\n\\n * Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, specifications, and company procedures\\n\\n * Manage subcontractor procurement, performance, and payment\\n\\n * Identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risks\\n\\n * Work closely with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, and site teams\\n\\n * Prepare and manage cost forecasts, budgets, and cash flow\\n\\n * Lead negotiations with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners\\n\\n * Ensure high standards of health & safety, quality, and programme delivery\\n\\nRequirements\\n\\n * Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management, or a related discipline\\n\\n * Proven experience as a Mechanical Contracts Manager or Senior Mechanical Project Manager\\n\\n * Strong background delivering large MEP / building services installation projects\\n\\n * Excellent understanding of mechanical systems within commercial or industrial buildings\\n\\n * Sound contractual and commercial knowledge (JCT / NEC experience advantageous)\\n\\n * Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills\\n\\n * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously\\n\\n * Full UK driving licence\\n\\nTo learn more and discuss further, please email an up to date word copy of your CV and a suitable mobile number to call to:\\n\\nAlternatively feel free to share with anyone in your network who might be a great fit.\\n\\nLooking forward to your response
