Are you in search of a temporary yet fulfilling role? Look no further! We're thrilled to offer an exciting position for our client based in Kingston who are looking to appoint a Planner for the 6 months ongoing, at the rate of £23.56 per hour umbrella.
Job Responsibilities
- Application Assessment: Process, evaluate, and make recommendations on planning applications, listed building consents, householder planning applications, prior approvals and lawful development certificates.
- Negotiation & Site Visits: Conduct site visits and negotiate with developers to amend plans (where appropriate), ensuring high quality design and adherence to regulations.
- Pre-application Advice: Provide professional advice to residents, agents, and developers regarding the feasibility of proposals.
- Report Writing & Committee Attendance: Prepare detailed officer reports and present recommendations to the Planning Committee.
- Planning Policy & Law: Ensure compliance with the Local Plan and National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF).
- Appeals: Handle planning appeals (where appropriate).

- Qualifications: A degree in Town Planning or related discipline.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of planning legislation and policies.
