Multi Skilled Shift Supervisor Location: London Salary: £56,000 per annum Hours: 42 hours per week Shift Pattern: 2 Days, 2 Nights, 4 Off Employment: Full-time The Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi Skilled Shift Supervisor to join a critical facilities environment in London. This is a key supervisory position responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of building services and critical equipment, while leading a team of engineers and ensuring planned, reactive and statutory maintenance activities are delivered to the required standards. The role would suit an experienced Shift Supervisor, Lead Engineer or Multi Skilled Engineer with a strong electrical background and previous experience within a critical environment such as a data centre. Key Responsibilities - Supervise and lead a team of day and shift engineers, providing technical guidance and support. - Ensure all equipment, plant and building services are operated and maintained safely. - Oversee the completion of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in accordance with agreed schedules. - Prioritise statutory and mandatory maintenance tasks and ensure reactive works are completed within required timescales. - Monitor engineering performance against KPIs and service-level requirements. - Ensure maintenance and installation activities are completed to the required quality and compliance standards. - Support fault finding, technical problem solving and escalation of complex engineering issues. - Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and ensure all systems are updated correctly. - Promote a strong culture of health, safety, compliance and continuous improvement. - Participate in an on-call/call-out rota as required. About You We are looking for a technically strong engineer who has progressed into a supervisory or team-lead position and is comfortable taking responsibility for a shift operation. You will ideally have: - Previous experience as a Multi Skilled Engineer, Shift Supervisor, Lead Engineer or similar. - Strong electrical engineering and maintenance experience. - Experience working within a critical environment, ideally a data centre or similarly high-availability facility. - Experience supervising or leading engineering teams. - Strong knowledge of planned, reactive and statutory maintenance. - Experience with electrical installation, maintenance and fault finding. - Good IT skills and the ability to accurately record and manage maintenance activities. - A strong understanding of health & safety and statutory compliance requirements. - Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills. Qualifications The following qualifications and experience are desirable: - City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent electrical qualification. - HV Authorised Person (HVAP) qualification and relevant high-voltage experience. - 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. - IOSH Managing Safely. Relevant mechanical qualifications will also be considered where supported by appropriate multi-skilled experience.
