We're currently recruiting for an experienced BOAS Engineer to join a leading UK Facilities Management organisation, supporting a high-profile public sector contract in North West London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a critical, highly regulated environment, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of boiler plant and steam systems across a large and complex estate. You will play a key role in maintaining operational reliability, safety, and statutory compliance of all boiler and pressure systems, directly supporting essential public services.

What you'll be doing:

  • Carrying out safe operation, monitoring, and maintenance of boiler plant and steam systems
  • Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across mechanical and boiler systems
  • Completing statutory inspections and BOAS‐compliant checks in line with regulations
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs to minimise system downtime
  • Supporting optimisation of boiler performance and energy efficiency initiatives
  • Working as part of a multi-skilled FM engineering team across a large estate
  • Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and site procedures
  • Maintaining accurate logs, records, and compliance documentation for audits

What we're looking for:

Essential:

  • BOAS (Boiler Operation Accreditation Scheme) certification
  • Proven experience working with boiler plant and steam systems
  • Background in Facilities Management, building services, or critical environments
  • Strong fault‐finding and diagnostic skills
  • Solid understanding of Health & Safety and statutory compliance requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team

Desirable:

  • Experience within large-scale or public sector estates
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency improvements and plant optimisation
  • Experience maintaining compliance documentation and audit readiness
