The Role
As an Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a range of refurbishment and fit-out projects. You will work closely with internal teams, clients, and supply chain partners to ensure commercially sound decisions throughout the tender process.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, including labour, materials, and plant
- Review project drawings, specifications, and documentation
- Support tender submissions and bid strategy
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
- Assess and manage project risks and opportunities
- Maintain and update cost databases in line with current market conditions
- Collaborate with pre-construction, commercial, and project delivery teams
Requirements
- Proven experience in a construction estimating role (typically projects up to 3m)
- Strong knowledge of refurbishment and fit-out projects
- Experience using estimating software (e.g. ConQuest) and strong Excel skills
- Good commercial awareness with the ability to support winning tenders
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
