Make a real difference. We're looking for an experienced Health & Safety Adviser to help create safer homes and workplaces for our colleagues, residents and contractors. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role where you'll provide practical advice, support managers, investigate incidents and help ensure health and safety risks are identified, managed and controlled across the organisation.

What you'll do:

  • Provide practical health and safety advice and guidance to managers and staff.
  • Promote a positive health and safety culture across the organisation.
  • Support and lead accident and incident investigations, including RIDDOR and Mandatory Occurrence Reporting (MOR).
  • Carry out inspections, audits and risk assessments, ensuring actions are completed.
  • Develop and review health and safety policies, procedures and guidance.
  • Support the delivery of training, communications and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain the Health & Safety Management System and provide accurate reporting and assurance.
  • Work closely with operational teams, HR and external regulators to support compliance with health and safety legislation.

About you:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (Level 3) or be working towards the NEBOSH Diploma (Level 6).
  • IOSH Membership.
  • Experience as a Health & Safety Adviser, ideally within housing or a similar property environment.
  • Experience of inspections, audits, incident investigations and policy development.
  • Knowledge of Building Safety, Mandatory Occurrence Reporting (MOR) and relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
